Talk #4: Garden International School
On Friday 9th October, we had another school talk (busy week!). This one was in front of a lot more kids, round about 800. Luckily, I did it with Isaac and Gautam, so it was less stressful than other times. The talk went well, and the kids seemed quite interested.
Like in Sri Hartamas, we offered them to design posters; our first inter-school competition!
10 designs picked!
When I did a talk in Jalan Bellamy (our first talk!), I gave the kids a competition: draw a design that can be printed on grocery bag.
We got very good response, with over 70 designs being entered. But now, we had to choose ten, that would be posted around Alice Smith, so that five can be chosen by the students.
So on Tuesday 6th of October, 7 of us got together to judge the bags.
The judging panel consisted of representatives from Climate Change Week, the Alice Smith School.
The ten designs we chose (and the five winners) will be posted up later. (They are currently with the school).
Venue #3: Seri Hartamas Talk
On the Monday 5th October, we did our
first talk in a local school, which was really what we were aiming for.
The talk went relatively well; the kids all listened, and some of them laughed!
I did this talk with Isaac, who will also be helping with the talk in Garden International School on Friday.
Thanks Isaac!
