Climate Kids
Imagine the hugeness of Climate Change.
You can’t.
The changes are small, but they add up. Al Gore described this well in ‘An Inconvenient Truth’; if you put a frog in a boiling pot of water, the frog will react immediately. But if you put the same frog in a pot of cool water, then slowly heat it up, the frog won’t notice anything. Then he likens us to the frog.
The thing is, Climate Change is much bigger than some people perceive it to be. And if adults have trouble imagining how big Climate Change is, imagine a kid trying to get his head around it.
So NASA have made a website for children to understand Climate Change. They break it down into smaller pieces we can imagine.
There are loads of cool stuff, and the website is really well built, with lots of animations and drawings.
