Climate Change Week YTL

Climate change week is finally here, happening on the 19th June. Our official Billy the Plastic Bag book will be launched along with the opening of our ‘Bring Kids For Earth to your school’ Workshop. If  you want to take part, contact me at raphaelletseng@kidsforearthasia.com. You have to get a team of 4 or 5 kids from the ages 10 to 15 to come. 19th June is a Saturday and the workshop/launch will start at 11.00am. Hope to see some of you guys there!

Oh yeah, there is also going to be an eco bazaar running throughout most of the day. Kids For Earth will be selling bags and books there.

Christmas Bazaar

The Christmas Bazaar is tomorrow, woohoo! Time to do your Christmas shopping and to buy Kids For Earth’s new grocery bags. With cool and flashy designs, created by Alice Smith students, we’re sure to sell plenty of bags. The bags will cost RM 10, as usual, but unlike the wine bags and most normal shopping bags, these are roll-up cotton bags, extremely convenient and easy to keep in your hand bag at all times (so you’ve got absolutely NO excuse for using a plastic bag now!). Hope to see you at the Bazaar at Alice Smith Jalan Bellamy tomorrow night! And if you dare use a plastic bag…

No Plastic Bag Bazaar

No plastic bag bazaarThis is an event organised by the Recyclists ( www.therecyclists.blogspot.com ) to promote awareness about plastic bags.

It is to be held at No.235, Jalan Bukit Bintang, in KL, on the 31st of August, from 12:00 to 18:00. The items on sale will not be all about the environment. There will be pre-loved items (apparently for grabs at a steal ), a pet adoptation drive, raffle draws, and some celebrities will even be donating some bjects for an auction!

There are a host of vendors, including some green lifestyle ones:

Just Life, Tiny Tapir, Forest Voices, the Light Show, This wonderful life, Animal care and Jumble Station.

I can’t wait to go, and I’m thinking of contacting the Recyclists… Who knows, we might see some Kids for Earth wine bags at the bazaar!
